Every winter season we see an increase in sales due to people pouring hot water form a kettle onto their windscreens in the attempt to defrost it! Altough from a profit point of view we shouldnt moan about it, We feel duty bound to tell you to stop it. 

 

If you have a pre existing chip on your screen then a sudden change in temparature will turn it into a crack.

 

If you are certain there is no existing damage, then apply luke warm water and wipe away fast with a squeegee before the water freezes.
